The Echoes of Bhutan is preparing to organize Drukyul's Literature Festival, which will take place from August 4th to 6th in Thimphu, which is exciting news for the country's literature fans.
The Festival strives to promote Bhutanese literature and art globally by celebrating the art and works of literature created by authors from Bhutan and other nations and artists, intellectuals, and influencers.
The 12th edition of the Literary Festival will be held in the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) auditorium in the Bhutanese capital Thimphu with the topic 'Reconnecting and Reviving,' which is deeply and directly related to the country's present tourist policy.
Throughout the Festival, 35 in-person seminars and events will honor the diversity and adaptability of literature, culture, and art.
Visitors may anticipate stunning possibilities to encounter vibrant sights and sounds, as well as exhibitions and unforgettable arts such as interactive workshops and music performances, poetry sessions and film screenings, and so on.
Meanwhile, this year's speaker lineup includes Professor Toby Walsh (Professor of Artificial Intelligence at UNSW), Author and Illustrator of The Golden Glow, Benjamin Flouw, Founder, Artist, and Illustrator of The Snowpiercer, Jean-Marc Rochette, and others. Furthermore, the Festival will feature numerous speakers and perspectives from Nepal, India, East Asia, and the United States.
The Festival is an annual event that brings together acclaimed and potential speakers, authors, philosophers, presenters, and artists from across the world and Bhutan under one roof. The event also hopes to inspire and develop cultural debates in Bhutan through art and natural beauty.
Furthermore, during the literature festival, the entire environment is viewed as a place to learn, share, and connect with oneself and the world around us on a deeper level through various channels such as books, art, music, and storytelling, according to Dorji Dhradhul, the Director General of the Department of Tourism.
Bhutan Echoes, a non-profit organization, has been planning and staging such potential events culminating in the Drukyul's Literary Festival, an annual event conducted in Bhutan to promote the country's literature, art, and culture.
